Rescue me from this cruel world…
Trapped in this reality feeling sad and blue. Won’t someone please save me, come to my aid? Remind me that this is just an illusion and not to be afraid.
So desperate to escape this madness in this place called Earth, searching for a door that leads me to the light as I wander aimlessly in the darkness of time.
Please rescue me so I don’t need to save myself, waiting for my saviour or a white Knight on his steed. The fairytales that I so hope will one day come true and rescue me from this life so glum.
Life is so hard with the challenges each day, just wanting to find the key to the door or the signpost that leads the way. To the Promised Land that everyone is searching for, across great deserts and mountains so high.
To the Guru that promises me a better life if I repent for my sins, I’m told everything will be alright. How do I know that this is true? They ask for a donation to keep you safe, taking you into their flock and ensuring you don’t escape. Just follow the rules and all will be well, but it never gets better and you feel like you’re in hell.
However, it happens I would just like to know. I’m sitting here waiting as the story unfolds. Please rescue me so I can come home. I just don’t seem to remember what this is all for. I only know one thing that always feels right, which is the feeling of love I have within my heart.
